broadly : the degree of disorder or uncertainty in a system.
Life is entropy to the nth degree. My yoga instructor says: embracing change is nothing more than living life with an open heart.
My life has radically changed in a matter of twelve hours. Now, to be fair, it wasn't like the change of say, my house burned down suddenly and it was not that substantial either. Of course, who is to say what is substantial from one person to the next? Change sometimes hurts but truthfully it is usually not as sudden as a house explosion.
More often if you get right down to it you can usually see it coming and you fight it. Sometimes you try to bargain with it. Other times you try to cheat it. Then you might fight it some more and somewhere in between any or all of those you just wish it would be like it used to be when things were better. But, inevitably there are normally factors beyond your control, usually people, and change happens despite your efforts to make it not happen.
We learn in Reiki that the energy we are seeking is manifested in ourselves or the person/animal we are working with in the way it needs to be manifested. Maybe it is the same with change. Maybe change finds a way into our lives and guides us to where we need to be. Maybe change is the force of nature that we cannot control and out of it we are renewed.
I'm going to believe this over anything else. That is now the choice I have.
