She has taken over again. The CCL. Crazy Cat Lady. She who is alone too often and starts talking to the animals. LOL LOL. Yup, that'd be me. So, this round of Sam travel finds me cleansing in a different way. Mainly, the spiritual cleansing bath regimen rx, which had to be
postponed due to the fact that most all of my herbs needed mail
Yesterday I prepped everything according to instructions and did my first round of said bath. The tea smelled wonderful I must say. Very cleansing. The worst part was air drying. LOL. You know me, always freezing… After the bath and
ritual disposal of the leftover remnants, I was walking up the driveway to the house and with each step it seemed like I became more and more tired. By the time I got to the house I thought –geez I need a NAP or something I feel exhausted…
I am wondering if this is normal? I have felt various ways after ritual before. Sometimes peaceful, sometimes spent and tired so I feel as if it must be. However, I expected to feel lighter somehow rather than depleted. But, having never done this sort of thing to this level of detail before I would not know.
I have four more days of the prescribed bathing.
Also this weekend was my birthday! And, believing that one’s birthday is the one time of the year when you SHOULD be completely self-absorbed and unaware of anything else but your own awesomeness, it was a grand celebration! Saturday Sam treated me to breakfast in bed and then we had a great hike
on some local trails. The dog got muddy, Sam got some great photos and I got to be in the woods.
Plus for all involved. After that we did a little food shopping and Sam fixed me spaghetti (my birthday favorite since childhood). Then we settled in for a night of Zombie love. Everything from Res Evil to catching up on The Walking Dead. Satisfied with my dose of flesh and brain eating mania, I drifted off to
sleep a happy, happy girl.
On Sunday I went to the barn and had my FIRST ride of the spring. Ouch Ouch Ouch momma needs some getting back into riding shape! Yes, Gillian, those are your thighs and they have come to tell you – your seat sucks! LOL. After hanging out with my girlfriend (our riding instructor) for a bit, I went home, bathed the dog in prep of mommy/critter nesting, cleaned my truck, enjoyed the afternoon by opening windows and celebrating Daylight Savings Time!
Everyday should be a birthday dammit.
Trying to live well in every way...and sometimes laughing about it later.
