Book Share Page

I like to read.  Alot.  I'm usually reading two or three things at once and I review and comment on most of them here.  This isn't really a traditional
Book Club in which people read together in a uniform manner, although if you do happen to want to read whatever it is that I am reading definately
have at it!  And feel free to comment.  I love how different people view stories.  My Book Share page is random - I read as I can and as the mood strikes me.  I can't keep a set schedule to save my life with reading so this is the only way it will work!  It isn't always witchy stuff I'm reading either.  My  interests vary.  If your reading life resembles that, grab a book and join in!  If you have books you would like to suggest, do so!

I'll periodically list what I'm reading on this page.  I'll do a short blurb and then other comments and observations will be made as blog entries.

~ The Path of Druidry by Penny Billington - study book for winter of 2012 (this book is part of my journey toward something yet unnamed that has been calling to me for some time now)

~ Unbearable Lightness by Portia De Rossi - read winter of 2011 (a heartfelt and raw account of anorexia, the hidden self and coming out of the darkness - I could not put this book down!)

~ Eating in the Light of the Moon by Anita Johnston - read winter of 2010 (teaching through storytelling - great chick stuff)

~ Faery Tale by Signe Pike - read winter of 2011 (this book was a delight and kept me enchanted on cold winter evenings)

~ The Feminist Care Tradition in Animal Ethics edited by  Josephine Donovan & Carol Adams (this one is pretty heavy so I pull
it out when I'm in one of those moods ;))

~ Energy Essentials for Witches and Spellcasters by Mya Om (this book is actually on Velma's Hex Libris list and I'm working my way
through the exercises and the book itself.  Good stuff!)

~ Rough Country by John Sandford (adventures in the life of "that fucking Virgil Flowers" LOL).

~ Bad Blood by John Sanford (another Flowers novel.  I am just not sure how Flowers gets all these women.  I would like to
see him.  LOL).

~ The Road by Cormac McCarthy - read August 2012 while at the beach (I have been meaning to read this book for years and Sam's daughter happened to have it with her.  My friend Fire Lyte suggested to me this was a horrbile book to read while on vacation.  I dunno, a book about the end of the world while sitting at the edge of the world where life crawled up out of the mire?  I think not.  LOL).
